Кatzrin

А settlement and the administrative center of the Israeli-controlled part of the Golan Heights. Located 13 km from the confluence of the Jordan River with Lake Tiberias (Lake Kinneret). The city overlooks Lake Tiberias to the south, Mount Hermon to the north, and the hills of Galilee to the west

The name "Katzrin" gave the ancient Jewish settlement of Kisrin, which existed in the same place in the Talmudic era and was destroyed by an earthquake about 1300 years ago. Modern Katsrin is the center of tourism in the north of Israel.

In addition, Katzrin is known as a major center of winemaking: the quality vintage wines of the Golan Heights are in great demand both in Israel and abroad.
